It's likely you've never heard of Healthcare for Homeless Animals, but if you have ever adopted from our local Agoura Animal Care Center your pet may have been the beneficiary of this courageous non-profit organization. Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) works tirelessly everyday to better the health and life of pets at the Agoura Animal Care Center through funding much of the necessary medical treatments. To ensure these hard on their luck pets receive the very best care, HHA funds medical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans for every animal in need who enters the shelter. But that's not where their help ends, they also fund a hospice program, foster program, and a senior wellness program.
It is important to note that while HHA works closely in conjunction with our local Animal Care Center, they are a separate entity who is operated solely by volunteers and is funded entirely by donations and grants. A donation to Healthcare For Homeless Animals will always directly benefit animals right here in our Community of Agoura Hills. Want to help? Ethan is a kitty who likes to test the nine lives theory and has been in the care of HHA since April. Relinquished to the group by his owner after being hit by a car and suffering an open fracture to a hind leg, he hasn't had the easiest go in life. Given the rough start to his short 3 years, he is understandably a little shy at first, but he a sweet boy who's ready for love. His recovery is going well, and it has been decided he is in the clear to start searching for his forever home!
Is there room in your home and heart for Ethan? You can schedule an appointment to meet him here, or go to the Agoura Animal Care Center Thursday through Tuesday between 2-4 pm or on Wednesday between 4-7 pm.
